MORE FROM THE TALENTED DARIN

What's sad is that he is throwing away alot of what he is drawing because he is not satisfied on how they come out.

I don't see anything wrong with alot of them but he does.

We did not do much this weekend because Darin had a major project that had to be done on this weekend. Let's just say that I know more about William Shakespeare than I ever cared to know. I watched a 4 hour show about him with Darin. Darin choce to write a 2 page summary of one aspect of Shakespeare life. From what projects he had to chose from that was the easiest.
Otherwise the list of projects were rediculous! For example: make clothes for dolls on that period, or make a song about Romeo and Juliet and sing it to the class with the words on a poster board for the class to be able to follow. Just alot of stuff that a 14 year old boy is not going to do. Some of these projects require money...a thing alot of these kids (including this family) have none of. Stupid!
I just looked outside and it's started snowing....just like Michigan!

WHO KNEW

For the last few years my son has become a huge anime book fan...he always knows when the next one is coming out and makes sure he earns enough money to go to Border's and purchase the next book. He has quite a collection now! But just recently he started opening up the books and drawing the characters, he never shown an interest in drawing before. Here's a couple of the drawings he's started...as my mom scan's them and sends them to us I thought i would share his talent.

I can't get over how talented he is!

A chip off the old grandmother...I can't even draw a stick figure right! I'm so proud!

In other news 17 more days till VACATION!! *doing the happy dance*
My boss looked at me yesterday and said that she could tell by my face that I need the vacation.
I could not believe it was that obvious. She also told me that " I would be missed' while I was gone. Awwwww that made me feel good!
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!

POTPOURI OF THINGS

Let's see what i can come up with here.

Mom has a great story that she is sharing about removing ink stains off of carpeting. Her wonderful, loving, caring, intelligent daughter (ME) suggested to go ONLINE for a remedy to her predicament and from what i hear it worked!

In other news my son has survived yet another card marking! Couple A's couple B's and one C+.
Yahhhhhhhhhhh! I mean i never doubted it for a minute!

Amber is spending the weekend over at a friends house, at least I like this friend. Her friend Jordan makes her act a little more girlie, she does her hair and make-up and wears more girlie clothes.

I can't wait for my vacation, I'm not counting or anything (21 days) but it's really close.
Niagra Falls for a day and then on to Vermont to see Frank's family. We all are really excited about seeing them all again it's been 7 years since our last visit. Rent-a-car is booked and the hotel in Vermont is booked, it's only 25 minutes away from his mother's house. Why a rent-a-car??? Well, my pick up does not have a cover in the back for the bags, and more importantly...if my truck breaks down for any reason I am stuck wherever i am until i find a place to fix it and there goes the vacation, with a rent a car they come and give me another car and i am on my way again. "smart" *wink* not to mention i'm not putting all those miles on my truck. :)

Well, that's all i got for now folks...pretty boring when all you do is work. I guess i need the vacation for more blogging material.

I am so tired, in this week alone I have 18 hours of overtime! I believe i have a couple hours the week before, so on the check coming on friday i am looking at roughly 20 hours of overtime.

So lets just figure out how much that is going to mean to me....

20 hours at $what i make (times) time & a half (plus) 80 hours of regular pay (plus) weekend rate and night premiums, carry the 2 (plus) E=MCsquared...lol...I just thru that in there.
*insert drum roll here* EQUALS= CHING$, CHING$ = I can't wait to see on Friday ...LMAO!

Have I said I am really tired?

Also I think I am coming down with something...in fact i know i am...you ask how do i know? ...well it could be because I just vomited everything i ate out about one hour ago...yuck!!!
And I still feel like I could do it again...

Anyhoo...I'm off too bed!

SAD, BUT TRUE!

I got this off of Momma's Corner, she asked to share it, I read it and cried.

*_SOMETHING WE ALL SHOULD REMEMBER_*
/Crabby Old Man
When an old man died in the geriatric ward of a nursing home in North Platte, Nebraska, it was believed that he had nothing left of any value./ /Later, when the nurses were going through his meager possessions, they found this poem. Its quality and content so impressed the staff that copies were made and distributed to every nurse in the hospital
One nurse took her copy to Missouri . The old man’s sole bequest to posterity has since appeared in the Christmas edition of the News Magazine of the St. Louis Association for Mental Health.
A slide presentation has also been made based on his simple, but eloquent, poem.
And this little old man, with nothing left to give to the world, is now the author of this ‘anonymous’ poem winging across the Internet.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Crabby Old Man
What do you see nurses? . . What do you see?
What are you thinking . . . . when you’re looking at me?
A crabby old man, . . not very wise,
Uncertain of habit . . . . . with faraway eyes?
Who dribbles his food . . . . . . and makes no reply
When you say in a loud voice . . ‘I do wish you’d try!’
Who seems not to notice . . . the things that you do.
And forever is losing . . . . . . . A sock or shoe?
Who, resisting or not . . . . . . . . . lets you do as you will,
With bathing and feeding . . . . . . The long day to fill?
Is that what you’re thinking? . . . Is that what you see?
Then open your eyes, nurse . . . . you’re not looking at me.
I’ll tell you who I am, . . .. . . as I sit here so still,
As I do at your bidding, . . . . as I eat at your will
I’m a small child of Ten . . . . with a father and mother,
Brothers and sisters . . . . . . . who love one another
A young boy of Sixteen . . with wings on his feet
Dreaming that soon now . . . . a lover he’ll meet.
A groom soon at Twenty. . . . . .My heart gives a leap.
Remembering the vows . . . . . that I promised to keep.
At Twenty-Five, now . . . . . . . I have young of my own.
Who need me to guide . . . And a secure happy home.
A man of Thirty . . . . . . My young now grown fast,
Bound to each other . . . . . . With ties that should last.
At Forty, my young sons . . have grown and are gone,
But my woman’s beside me . . .. . . . to see I don’t mourn.
At Fifty, once more, . Babies play ‘round my knee,
Again, we know children . . . . . . My loved one and me .
.
Dark days are upon me . . My wife is now dead.
I look at the future . . . . . . . . .. . I shudder with dread.
For my young are all rearing . . . . . . young of their own.
And I think of the years . . And the love that I’ve known.
I’m now an old man . . . . . and nature is cruel.
Tis jest to make old age. . . . . look like a fool.
The body, it crumbles . . . . . . . . . . grace and vigor depart.
There is now a stone . . . . . . where I once had a heart.
But inside this old carcass . . A young guy still dwells,
And now and again . . . . . my battered heart swells
I remember the joys . . . . . . . . . . I remember the pain.
And I’m loving and living . . . . . . . . . . . life over again.
I think of the years . all too few . . . . . gone too fast.
And accept the stark fact . . . . . . . that nothing can last.
So open your eyes, people . . . . . open and see..
Not a crabby old man Look closer . . see . . . . ME!!
Remember this poem when you next meet an older person who you might brush aside without looking at the young soul within . .
We will all, one day, be there, too!/ /PLEASE SHARE THIS POEM
Got Pics!
So this past weekend i had off...it was wonderful!!! Saturday i did not do much of anything until my bestest friend in the whole world came down from hickville(lupton) michigan 3 hours away for her kids to wrestle in a city right next door to me. It was great seeing her.
Sunday we all got up and went to the local school and i got to watch all of her kids wrestle for the first time...they tried so hard!!!
Barb and I have been friends for like 27 years! She is wonderful...I miss her madly! But her love of animals and wanting lots of them sent her to a place with plenty of acres for all sorts of animals...from the outside and on to the inside. She should charge admission to her property...it's a zoo!
These pics are going to be so random because i don't have the energy to fix them...
This is her daughter Jaycee, She is 17 and she enjoys wrestling!
Jaycee is wrestling an adult about 35 years old. She gave him a battle!! But he was very experienced ...I was so proud of her, she did give him a fight.
another pic of her
and yet another.
she took second place
Here is her son Masen.
he took second place
Masen again. Aka...the "stick"
another
and yet another
this is her neice Anna
Anna again
Her son Jorden he took 5th
Jorden again.
and yet again.
This is her neice Anna before her match
This is Masen and his long hair! If i had a pair of scissors he would have gotten a hair cut..lol
This is Jaycee and her boyfriend Josh. They make a cute couple. He is also into wrestling and from what i hear very good at it...but because he has ringworm he could not wrestle this day.
Jorden...typical!
I have a very special place in my heart for this girl Jaycee. Her first year of her life i practically
raised her, due to bad circumstances with her mother I helped alot.
God I love her like she was my own.
Jaycee after her defeat...She felt so bad...but she shouldn't she gave a great fight.
In other news.....Yesterday 3/03 Torro here got another year older! He is 6 now! He was born on 3/3/03 not hard to remember that birthday...I was there when he came into this world...He has made a special place in my daughters heart...they adore each other!
Who could not love this puppy?
Things have just been looking alot brighter...I got a letter from the IRS, at first I thought i was getting audited, but apparently they found a mistake in my favor for some more refund to come back to me. That was great news!!! Next time mom and me will have to have all the right forms and plenty of sleep so we don't make stupid mistakes like that one.
On Monday when i went back to work at 6 in the morning I had no idea that i would end up staying until 9:30 pm 15 and 1/2 hours...they were 4 people short for the night shift...I really like our night manager and could not see doing that to her... so I volunteered, I was going to leave at 7:15 pm but she really needed the help in the dishroom after the dinner rush. That was painful to be working that much, but what made it worse was that i had to be back at 7 the next morning. Needless to say I was exhaused! I caught up on some sleep today, because Frank was home, so he took the kids to school..Thank God! The great news is that all of Friday and Saturday will be overtime!! wooohooo...
We are really getting excited about our trip. I've been looking up things online..hotels, sites and things like that. Just getting away from work and day to day drama is well worth it.
Well that's all that's been going on.
You are Judgement
Happiness, Content, Joy.
Judgment is related to the Hebrew letter Shin, which is fiery and spiritual. A break from the past, going forward.
With Fire as its ruling element, Judgement is about rebirth or ressurection. The idea of Judgement day is that the dead rise, their sins are forgiven, and they move onto heaven. The Judgement card is similar, it asks the resurrection to summon the past, forgive it, and let it go. There are wounds from the past that we never let heal, sins we've committed that we refuse to forgive, bad habits we haven't the courage to lose. Judgement advises us to finally face these, recognize that the past is past, and put them to rest, absolutely and irrevocably. This is also a card of healing, quite literally from an accident or illness, as well as a card signaling great transformation, renewal, change.
