Amber and her new haircut!

I loved her long hair but she never really took care of it...She always had a spot with a knot in it....This haircut is much easier for her...I think she is adorable!!

Blessings

I'm looking forward to Christmas Day, it will be the first one off in 7 years!

I've been baking away at my house. I made pineapple cookies, peppermint cookies, crinkles, chocolate chip and this weekend i will be making Pumkin cookies, thin mint cookies, pistachio bread, and anything else i can come up with, after that I will call it done for another year.

The vitamin D I have been taking has done a world of good, I'm mostly awake! I go to the doctors on the 28th and asking him about my thyroid. I have the worse horsey voice ever!!!! Not because I am sick or have a sore throat, the more i talk the worse it gets!!! So i will have him check my levels.

I can tell you that I have been truly blessed this month. God has blessed us alot and I am truly happy. Hopefully I have gone thru my trials and tribulations and nothing but good things are going to come. Miracles do happen!!!

Amber and Darin cannot wait until schools out and they get their presents.

We will spend Christmas over my mother and father's like always...they have a much bigger house than i do, so it makes things easier to do it over there. Can't wait to hear how everyone's holiday goes. I'm hoping Christmas will be better than my Thanksgiving.

When my doctor speaks, I listen!

After getting out of the hospital I was sooo tired. I mean don't want to do anything, can't keep my eyes open, forcing myself to do things even tho all i wanted to do was go to bed. At first I thought it was the stay a the hospital, it only got worse after I went up North and on the way home I almost fell asleep while driving! While working i was worked with eye closed.

I went to my doctor on Monday and told him everything they did to me in the hospital and told him my only complaint now is that i was extremely tired. He said he was going to test my iron levels and my Vitamin D levels...He says alot of people are coming in with low vitamin D levels. Meanwhile he gave me a B-12 shot...It did not do much for me. I would come home from work everyday passing out on the couch by 6:00 or 7:00 pm.

He got my results on Thursday and called me that night. He said "Your iron levels are just fine but your vitamin D levels are practically non existent" He said "levels are supposed to be around 30 and yours is like 11" So he told me to go and get a bottle of vitamin D and take them everyday!!!

I'm hoping to get some relief from this soon, I was talking to another lady and she said she was having pains in her bones and found out it was from low vitamin D. I have been having pains, it all could all be related to eachother and here i just thought i was getting old. I will let ya know if there is any changes with this.

So that's the reason why I have not been on much, I've been sleeping my butt off..lol

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!

I hope that everyone is enjoying their Thanksgiving. I know i will. I do have to work early, but right after work i should be enjoying me some Turkey and all the trimmings. I went over earlier today to help with all the prep work so mom does not have to work so hard at getting it all together.

So much to be thankful for even tho so much has happened lately.
Just my short, most thankful for list
and no particular order!

1. i'm not homeless (yet)
2. i'm not dead
3. my kids
4. my husband
5. my job
6. my friends

I won!

I'm shocked...i won the bike for the best slogan...."food and nutrition...the next best thing to being at home". I guess they had nothing better..lol

Anywhoo...i have a nice new shiny bike :)

Scary situation!

Monday afternoon i was helping on the line making trays and all of a sudden i had to grab my chest. I was having massive spasms that went down my left arm. I did what i had to do and then i went home. Around 6:30 pm. I could not stand the pain anymore and went to E.R. pretty sure that i had a heart attack again.

My blood pressure when i arrived at the ER was 206 over 119, and never really went down although i was calm and just sitting. The pain in my arm was constant. But with the blood test and the stress test it confirmed that i had not had a heart attack. They say it was just because my blood pressure was out of control. So now i have to take one of my pills twice a day to keep it down. Ever since they did that my blood pressure is just fine.

The hospital stay was nice, my co-workers kept coming in to see how i was doing. My boss called me from her house!!! I was very touched, she said she was worried about me and wanted me to know it was ok if i wanted to take the rest of the week off, turns out that the doctors agreed to take the rest of the week off. I told her to stop taking away my work days..she laughed! I am going up there today for the meeting...I am dying to see who won the slogan and if it's me i want to take my bike home...lol I am hopeful that it's me!!

Amber only has a few more pills to take and then we will see if she breaks out anymore. Hopefully she won't.

We are suppose to go up north to see if my husband and son can get bambi this weekend.
I have a good feeling that they might!!

Ya'll take care!

the usual!

Amber went to the doctors on Thursday, the doctor thinks that this infection is on the tail end. She gave Amber one more week of antibiotics and some cream to put on it. Then she will be seen the day before Thanksgiving back at the doctors, it will be a week to see if after the antibiotics if she breaks out anymore. Wishing her luck, we will see.

Seems as if my only 2 jobs at the moment is my work job and my worrying job. I hate the second one.

Frank and Darin went for opening deer hunting day today and came home empty handed. Hopefully their luck will change at my friends house up north next weekend.

When all else fails...number your issues...

I don't know where to start....

1. Money sucks around here. Pretty much everyone's feeling this way. This will be the leanest Christmas ever!! At least i have my family :)

2. My car decided to break down and I totally nailed the diagnoses before the mechanic told me! I told my husband I believed the U joints were going bad and I was right! I sweated the outcome of the bill. But I'm THANKING GOD for it being covered under warranty!! Then i turned around and asked them to change the oil because we are planning a hunting trip up north at my friends house. Then I pulled out of the dealership only to find out that one of my headlights were not working, so we went out and right back in and had that replaced...So the dealership made some money on me today after all.

3. Amber has been seeing our doctor about her break outs under her arms for quite awhile, so he sent her to a skin doctor and tested the sores...come to find out she has mrsa. Taking yet another antibiotic and still not recovering. She is still breaking out with new sores...She goes back on Thursday and the doctor told her on her last visit if this did not work she would probably have to go to the hospital and get IV's. She is scared and I don't blame her.

4. I'm not feeling well....i think frank gave me his stupid cold!

5. I went to a jewelry party called lia sophia and omg that stuff is nice...but way to expensive!!
I purchased a pair of earrings for amber for christmas..It's her birthstones so she will love them.

6. AT work we had a contest to come up with the best food and nutrition slogan...winner gets the slogan put on jackets, hats and things like that for our dept. The prize is a very nice Bike that I would love to have...they are announcing the winner next week. cross your fingers...i only put in one entry...but i think it was very nice. I don't remember what it is..it popped into my head, i wrote it down and dropped it in the box for an entry.

Other than that I can't think of much else. I had a wonderful weekend, very low key. Hope yours was just as awesome.

He's home!

Frank called me yesterday from the airport in Vermont, they had canceled his original flight, so he had to find another flight to Detroit. He arrived finally in Detroit by midnight. He was glad to be home, the kids missed him so much they wanted to pick him up, I warned them that it was going to be about 1 in the morning before they got to bed and that they were still going to school. They agreed but i know when they get home from school there will be naps going on.

Frank had so much to tell us. I wrote Franks brother to see if i can get my hands on the speech he wrote about his mother, i will put it in a scrapbook with her pictures and the little card from the funeral parlor. (i don't know what you actually call those) Anyhoo, Frank said that it was beautiful, it made him cry. He said that he talked about every family member, including me and the kids. Would love to read what he said...hopefully he will send it.

R. I. P.

My husband's mother Ann passed away this morning around 2 a.m. We did not know if we were going to be able to send Frank out to Vermont to pay last respects. But Frank's boss is going to pay for Frank's airline ticket to go and see the family.

Frank's brother called us at about 6 in the morning and i knew the news was not going to be good. Can't believe it happened so fast...we just talked to her on the 10th and she informed us that she had stopped all treatment of lung cancer. She told Frank that she had 2 months to a year...who knew 11 days later I am making arrangements for him to go to her funeral.

Sad, Sad Day!

Mrs T would be so proud, and pics of the cider mill

My daughter found a cat and hid it in our garage for 2 days...she was sneaking it food and gave it a nice warm bed. It was starving and she was worried about it. She eventually let us know what she was doing, and luckily we have a neighbor that knows alot of people and just so happened to know someone that was looking for a cat. It was beautiful and so tame. I don't know if it was so calm because it was weak from hunger or if it was just it's personality. I would have loved to have kept it if I wasn't so allergic to cats. I refuse to suffer in my own home.

Anyway, she has a home and from what i hear she is gaining weight and loves her new place. Amber wanted some pics of it so here ya are.. Also she can visit it anytime she wants to, it lives very close.

Our trip to the cider mill... pretty cold out!

There was a guy carving bears outdoors...they were beautiful, a small one will cost you $150.00 dollars. If i had the money i would so have gotten one!

We've been keeping ourselves busy with yard work, we have got to clean the garage to put the boat in it for the winter.
Amber went to the doctors on Thursday about her break outs under her armpits. He gave her antibiotics and a steriod medicine to clear it up and on Saturday she is seeing a skin doctor. So lets hope he has an answer for her breaking out all the time.
Well it's bed time for me...so take care all!! Have a great weekend!

Bonfire anyone?

So Gary arrived on Tuesday and Tuesday night we were at the bar, we did some Karaoke, some dancing, and lots of drinking...lol Then of course you know you have to go to a 24 hour restaurant for breakfast. Wednesday i went to my friend Jeanette's (where Gary was staying) had breakfast and Gary and I had the opportunity to hang out.(Jeanette had to go to work for a few hours) He got to see my house, meet my kids and visit a store that he wanted to walk around.

But on Thursday we all went over to another girlfriend's house for a nice bonfire!! Jeanette was in charge of making the fire!! She did a great job.

The fire is roaring in this pic!!!!
Frank sitting back and relaxing!

It was a chilly day, but all was very warm around the fire!

Queen of the fire pit!!! Jeanette!

Darin is holding a ceremonial poker stick..lol It was sacrificed to the bonfire gods! lol
Plenty more pics and stories to follow...right now...sleep...lol

BEST WEEK EVER!!!

No, I haven't died, I have just had one hell of a week!!!! My best "male friend" was in town for the week!!! Gary and I have been friends since the 6th grade, that's right almost 30 years!!! I was working then visiting, then working and visiting everyday this week...I am so tired, but happily tired knowing that i got to spend as much time as possible with him!! I have a million pics and if you have facebook I have already posted them all there...But the stories will be here...lol I will slowly put them on here with some details...And i have warned all my friends that it's hitting the internet and no one has paid me off to not show some of these pics...so i get to have fun!! lol

here's gary shooting some dart's at the a bar called "Augie's", he is very good at dart's...a real shark!

Me and Frank having fun!!! we did not go out for our anniversary so we made up for it this day.

Me and Jeanette, she loves pics...lol

Gary and I, I missed him so much!!!

The very first pic of Gary, before we went out...
Gary has been a true friend!!! My most favorite memory of him is that no matter what he was always there!!! When i was sad, he had the biggest bear hug to give. If i was in trouble he always helped me out did not matter the time!! I remember sneaking to his bedroom window and tapping on it to just talk to him about things that were bothering me.
To be honest I had a big crush on him in high school but we both agreed that we did not want to throw away the friendship in case it did not work out, it was a great decision!

It has been 14 years since I last seen him....Hope it's not another 14 years again.
More pics and stories to follow, but right now I am too tired!!!
