Bonfire anyone?

So Gary arrived on Tuesday and Tuesday night we were at the bar, we did some Karaoke, some dancing, and lots of drinking...lol Then of course you know you have to go to a 24 hour restaurant for breakfast. Wednesday i went to my friend Jeanette's (where Gary was staying) had breakfast and Gary and I had the opportunity to hang out.(Jeanette had to go to work for a few hours) He got to see my house, meet my kids and visit a store that he wanted to walk around.

But on Thursday we all went over to another girlfriend's house for a nice bonfire!! Jeanette was in charge of making the fire!! She did a great job.

BEST WEEK EVER!!!

No, I haven't died, I have just had one hell of a week!!!! My best "male friend" was in town for the week!!! Gary and I have been friends since the 6th grade, that's right almost 30 years!!! I was working then visiting, then working and visiting everyday this week...I am so tired, but happily tired knowing that i got to spend as much time as possible with him!! I have a million pics and if you have facebook I have already posted them all there...But the stories will be here...lol I will slowly put them on here with some details...And i have warned all my friends that it's hitting the internet and no one has paid me off to not show some of these pics...so i get to have fun!! lol

Gary has been a true friend!!! My most favorite memory of him is that no matter what he was always there!!! When i was sad, he had the biggest bear hug to give. If i was in trouble he always helped me out did not matter the time!! I remember sneaking to his bedroom window and tapping on it to just talk to him about things that were bothering me.

To be honest I had a big crush on him in high school but we both agreed that we did not want to throw away the friendship in case it did not work out, it was a great decision!

It has been 14 years since I last seen him....Hope it's not another 14 years again.

HAPPY 14TH BIRTHDAY!!!

On Saturday my daughter turned 14 years old. The time has just flown. There are some days I am amazed that she has made it this far...lmao!!!! But seriously I love her to death!!

We spent her birthday up north with my best friend Barb and had a wonderful time on her farm...The time was short, but we packed in as much as you can in about 24 hours. Anyhoo, I did not get to post her Happy Birthday on Saturday because of our weekend, but we are going to have cake and ice cream after school and work tomorrow.

little bit of this and a little bit of that!

If you follow me on facebook you would know that i have been absolutely sick this past week. It started with a sore throat, then quickly turned to some kind of flu with a fever that had me bundled up in a comforter on an 83 degree day!!! The fever broke around 1 in the morning and i was able to function but still feeling very bad. Now i would say it's a simple cold...but i hate the cough or rattling in the chest!!! I know i will be fine very soon. Poor Darin has had pretty much the same thing with me. I have went thru 3 bottles of dayquil and 2 bottles of nyquil!!! Between Darin and I. It helps alot!!

I'm really worried about Amber, she is getting more and more not the girl that i want her to be. I am just going to leave it that...I expected it a little when she got back with her friends...For most of the summer i was actually happy with her. Anyhoo...my foot will break off in her ass if needs be!!!lol

Darin went to hunter safety class this weekend and passed!!!! He got so much stuff for his hard work in class. He is really impressed with a compass/light/whistle thingy that he got. He got a certificate for passing, a patch to put on his hunting outfit and a cute bandana. Frank went with him to the class, which i thought was really nice and at least he got a refresher class.

Work for me was hard while being sick, but made it thru. I excited because this week i get to learn something new. I get to work in the diet office and take the orders when they call down. Yeh!!! Something new...I hope it's easy enough. I think learning all the different diets will be the hardest..knowing what they can and can not have.

Anyway...not much else is going on...I am going to try and visit my friend up north on the 26th for the weekend. It's also Amber's birthday!!!! We will have some cake and ice cream when we get home. I'm sure she will want some kind of clothes from Hot Topic for her Birthday.

HAPPY 15TH ANNIVERSARY

To my Frankie! I Love You so very much!! We have been thru alot together, we learn from each other daily! I can't imagine myself without him. Here's to the rest of our lives together.

What's up?

It's too early to tell if the kids are enjoying school. I know that they are not enjoying getting up early..lol.. Amber had her meet the teacher thing at school, they all seem nice and all seem to want to have a great year. This is the last year that Amber's school will even be open, they are closing it's doors in June. Amber will hopefully be in High School next year if all goes well.

While meeting the teachers alot of the teachers recommended that the students tell the parents where they sit and with who. Amber, in just about every class sits next to "Tom, Dick, and Harry, Rick, Bob and Steve...and Britney....lmao! And she swears that's just how she got seated...yahhhhhh right...lol

Can't wait to see Darin's classes and things..I'm not sure when that will be. Darin needed alot of supplies. He had to have a binder for every class! A scientific calculater, black pen, blue pens, red pens, binder separaters and the list goes on. Every year it's getting worse!

I had this weekend off, I went to the Warren city concerts, they had the "Shades of Blue" playing, they were really fun to watch, singing things from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Then they had "Danny and the Juniors" famous for the songs "at the hop" and "rock and roll is here to stay" . As old as they are they really did put on a good show, filled with funny things they did and many jokes. My father barely leaves the house and for this he actually went to see it, and enjoyed himself!

Other than that, not much to report.

Ok, so i had this big plan to spend the day with the kids at a nice park, by the water, watching the boats come in and out of the channel. A small picnic, packed plenty of water, some pop, and stopped at the local market and picked up one of those huge already made subs and a couple bags of chips and off we went.

Darin was going to do some fishing, Amber too if she wanted. Just after we had a quick bite, about to put the pole in the water i looked over to find my husband walking in. He was suppose to be working, he got off early and joined us, that was a nice surprise, i think he was jealous..lol

Quick updates

Things are moving right along. The kids go to school very soon, can't wait! They are eating me out of house and home..lol. Darin goes on the 25th to pick up his schedule and gets his picture taken. Yesterday I took him to get his haircut, he loves it, i love it, it's a win, win situation. I also went to the beauty supply shop to see what i needed to dye my daughter's hair. She wants to dye her hair fushia on the bottom half of her hair and black on top. I had been asking around when i see these kids with different color hair how they get the color so bright and time after time they told me they had to strip the color or bleach it to make it that deep of a color. So when i went to the store i asked the lady what i needed and she was very helpful. I can't afford to take her to a beauty shop for all of this, so i do alot of experimenting, wish me luck!

Amber goes to get her schedule on the 31st along with pictures. I sure do hope that her hair turns out the way it's supposed to!

I am doing great lately, the toes are healing, no more limp! No more rashes or swelling, thanking god as i type this.

Had the opportunity to spend time with my old friend Pam and her hubby last night. Really was alot of fun. She invited me to go to some wine festival next Saturday. Should be interesting, never been to one before.

Really enjoying the weather the last few days. Finally shut off the central air and opened some windows but according to the forecast it's going to get hot by Monday again. Frank was suppose to go fishing today. He planned on fishing all week, but it rained today. Oh well, maybe tomorrow he will go.

Well I gotta get ready for work :P

15 is a wonderful age!

Darin had a wonderful birthday. All he wanted from me was a couple of hats from spencers that he was eyeballing for some time. That's all!!! Done and done!!!

You'll never believe it!

After the ordeal on Wednesday, guess what i woke up to this Friday morning.

I woke up and saw my hands all broke out with another nasty rash, upon further investigation it was all over my neck, chest, back, arms and one small patch on my right foot! No tongue swelling or the throat closing, but it did feel tight to breath. So i called my doctor, explained to him what's been going on and he said to go straight to emergency, in his own words "let them fix what they broke" NICE! I love my doctor, but basically I knew the answer before i even talked to him...because i don't think he could do much at the office anyways....and what if on the drive there i went into anafalatic(sp?) shock? I just wanted to let him be aware of what's going on.

Well went back to E.R. and the same doctor was there and she could not believe that i was back. Took a good look at my rash, checked my breathing, and said to me add "cipro" to your list of allergies! This was the antibiotic i got instead of the "bactrim" that caused the other rash. Well now I can't have any antibiotics, the toes are healing, i can walk without pain, still a little gross to look at. But 2 doctors looked at it and said it should heal up just fine now with some triple antibiotic cream. Which is fine by me at the moment!! I'm too scared to try anything else!!!
The E.R. doctor called my doctor because after all the benedryl and steriods and other drugs they gave me the rash would not go away, she basically said that she had done everything that she can do, I will have to take steriods and benedryl for the next few days until it goes away. I still have some rash left, but alot of it has gone away. She basically told me that my doctor and her agree that if either my toe gets worse, or the rash breaks out again, call my doctor or come back to E.R.

The doctors and nurses could not believe that after all the drugs they pumped into me both times that i was not ready to pass out or asleep. In fact all I felt was very calm. A very nice feeling. But I came home today and cleaned and I went to work even took 4 more doses of benedryl and I am still up and typing away. Usually benedryl knocks me on my ass. Go figure!!

FUN, FUN, FUN!!! Been a rough week! This week can SUCK IT!! LOL!

Close Call

I went to work this morning. Ended up in our emergency room because my hands, face, neck, back swelled and broke out in an awful rash. Turns out I am allergic to the antibiotics they gave me for my infection on my foot. Turns out that i am allergic to anything with sulfa in it. I was really scared..my tongue swelled and i could feel the back of my throat start to shut. My tongue turned sheet white. They poured a ton of Benedryl in an I.V. , some steroids and some other stuff and within a half hour i was a new person. I still have one eye a little swelled but they also gave me a antihistamine with steroids in it.

So no more Bactrim for me!!!!

My poor little piggies!

Still very sore, but swelling is down. Able to do my job with a massive limp and lots of pain. The infection is back down to the 2 toes...I don't wish this on anyone.

Other than that I can't think of anything else in my life.

NOT A GOOD WEEKEND

For the past week i have been suffering with what started as athletes feet that i itched raw in between 2 toes and somehow got a blister for my efforts that caused me more pain than anyone should have to go thru. Saturday i went to work and had to leave because the pain was unbareable to walk, that's when my husband helped doctor it and discovered a blister in between my toes, so i popped it. It relieved alot of the pain and was able to get thru the day at work on Sunday. Went to a concert at the Warren civic center and when i got home i noticed that the infection was spreading almost to my leg. My foot was really swollen and stiff, scared me alot!! So off to emergency i went, i could barely take the pain any longer! After a dose of antibiotics and one miracle shot i went home and passed out, the shot made me sleep the best i have slept in days! When i woke up swelling is down and the infection is mostly on the one toe.
Not a great weekend!

Just some things

Taking the kids swimming at the city pool today. Haven't done that in awhile. Warren is doing alot for us tax payers. They put on free concerts at the square. Most are really good. Mom posted one of them on her blog, the sound is not very good, i think because we were sitting too close to the speakers. They also have a Farmer's market that goes on there every Sunday and movies every Friday. Nice.

Mom and I went to bingo last Friday and I got to yell BINGO for a huge jackpot!!! Thank God! It was enough to pay my house payment and put some money aside for school clothes. I was stressing over those two items, now i feel like a burden has been lifted, at least for this month!
