My boy is the one with the brown long sleeve shirt.
I couldn't be prouder!!!! My boy was on the honor roll all year! He recieved a certificate for his hard work from the principal, he got a bronze academic medal, and even got a school letter. I thought they gave letters out for sports, but apparently you get one for academic excellence.
He is such a good boy and deserves his moment in the spotlight.
My mohter and father came to see their grandson get his awards. From what my mom told me my father got a little misty watching his grandson get his awards. I think he misses the fact that he was not able to do this kind of stuff when his own kids were growing up, not that he didn't want to, but because he was such a hard worker and would be very tired when he got home. It was left to mom to be our total support. I love them both!

Oh yeah, my sons have letters for academic performance. We were very glad they got some kind of recognition that way, because we all suck at sports.
Congratulations, Darin! and many years ahead towards a college scholarship...they really do help!
