WHO KNEW

For the last few years my son has become a huge anime book fan...he always knows when the next one is coming out and makes sure he earns enough money to go to Border's and purchase the next book. He has quite a collection now! But just recently he started opening up the books and drawing the characters, he never shown an interest in drawing before. Here's a couple of the drawings he's started...as my mom scan's them and sends them to us I thought i would share his talent.

I can't get over how talented he is!

A chip off the old grandmother...I can't even draw a stick figure right! I'm so proud!

In other news 17 more days till VACATION!! *doing the happy dance*
My boss looked at me yesterday and said that she could tell by my face that I need the vacation.
I could not believe it was that obvious. She also told me that " I would be missed' while I was gone. Awwwww that made me feel good!
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!

Those are great sketches! It's great he's got some great supporters backing him, too. I sho nuff didn't get that growing up and wanting to paint.

Anime is one of my son Les' favorites and also Grand daughter Courtney's. It is great that your son has chosen to create images of something that he is truly interested in.

If he's interesting in comic books and possibly creating his own, he should read Scott McCloud's "Understanding Comics." It's a comic book!
