We'll see what i can come up with today.
Not a whole lot has been happening. I can tell you that the fights have now begun. I was betting another week before that was going to happen. Darin and Amber could not give me another week of peice. The "he's touching me" "she's looking at me" etc etc etc. You can see where i am going with this...lol.
I think my kids are becoming fish tho..lol..I don't think there has been a day yet that they have not been swimming. Between my mother's pool and the neighbors pool they have become very aquatic.

Today my daughter thought it would be cute to dress the chihauhau's up in cute baby clothes from the dolls that she has. I admit i thought it was cute too, till she done it for the 4th time and the "boys"(the dogs) were looking at me like "ok...this is enough" lol
She even dressed up the dog that is huge in her very own clothes, a skirt and top. " Mini" was not having it! She sure puts up with alot. Thank god she is good natured.
My son Darin has really been a comedian lately! He cracks me up with his one liners and little digs. God i am proud! The other day he told his sister after a few little battles "Your ears are so big, elephants use them as shade!" I about died! I couldn't breathe i was laughing so hard. Of course Ambers ears are not that big...But for him to just make that up on the spot was great!
Now he has changed it a bit " your ears are so big, Nasa uses them as radar" He kills me...lol

Today was a meeting at another store, we spent 2 hours in this small room all for them to say that we are going to start training our new employees in our own store! I don't know why they didn't do that in the first place, it never made sense to me. But, who the hell am i to tell them they are screwed up..lol Oh and we got to build a airplane out of paper. Once with instructions and no help, we only got just a few minutes. Mind you that we got 2 sets of instructions and we all wanted to read them. Then we did it all together, reading and she showed us how it was supposed to be. I guess it was suppose to show us that when training if we show and then guide them, they would be successful employees.
This is great and i fully respect it! Buttttttttttttttttt.....When i started i was shown nearly shit! Read nothing! And was given a store to operate by myself on the 6th day i was there. Mind you that i only worked 2 days in a week. Never working at a Blockbuster in my life! It was sink or swim baby for me. And i have taught or figured out almost everything by myself!
Other than that it was ok. We were able to leave in plenty of time to watch the Detroit fireworks on t.v. , which were very amazing! I loved the fireworks that shot up and blew up into the shape of hearts..(those that know me, know that i absolutely am a heart fanatic)
I really don't have any reason why i love them so much, but its been that way since i was very young!

Well i started off with nothing to say, and look what happened...lol Nighty night ya'll!

just babble..
Since i really did not have a start to this i guess i will start with a few movie reviews..
I watched "The Pacifier"..this i really thought it was funny! Vin D. plays a Navy guy that ends up watching over a family of kids. This was truely a funny movie.
My second movie was "Diary of a mad black woman" This was a pretty good drama, certainly worth a hour and a half of my time. There was some sad moments, funny moments, but a good all around drama. This is about a woman that her husband had an affair and the woman had 2 kids and one day decides the wife has to go and the tramp and kids are going to move in. He basically had all the wifes things packed and in a u-haul and kicked her out. She gets her revenge on him and ends up nice in the ending. All i can say is the guy that is playing the Grandmother was funny as all get out!
__________________________________________________________________
I've been trying to motivate myself to get started on the math skills with my daughter and i think i will start tomorrow...i gave them a break enough, time to start! It will also help my son with memorizing and maybe get him faster at it while i am doing it.

I just finished reading Sylvia Browne's book Secrets and Mysteries, I read the whole thing in just a few days and with only a couple hours here and there with it. I find her very interesting, and her views on everything very informative. She writes about alot of aliens and alot about Jesus in this book. Some of what she talks about explains alot and makes perfect sense.

You know the other day at work must have been baby day, first i went to a baby shower and lord their was at least 3 babies ..all cousins sitting around me. Then there was about a billion come into work...I miss the baby and toddler phase. Not that i want anymore! I'm afraid that i will have another Amber and then their would probably be blood shed...lol.. Actually Amber is known to be the nuturer...She would probably take over the babies whole life..lol
I can't have anymore...But i sure wish i had access to one that i can give back once i was over it..lol

Well i think i will end here...gotta rest..bye

Kids are out of school
Let's see how long it takes for me to say that i am going insane with my children! I'm going to try to work with my daughter on her math skills over the summer. This is one of the grades she had the most trouble with. My son got mostly A's and B's! yehhhhhhhhhhh i will never complain about that! My daughter got B's and C's...still acceptable as long as i know that you tried really hard! I only told them that i had never had D's and F's and i expect them to do the same! To me that's just plain not trying at all!
Darin is a little scared of going to Junior High..very understandable...he will be looking at all kinds of different teachers and kids, and then we you get used to it they switch it up on you all over again. I know what he is going thru, but he makes friends fast and is very easy going.

Movies
I watched "Coach Carter"...i tell ya that i am no sports fan at all but for a movie all about basketbal and teaching kids..i give it 2 thumbs up..a very good film and i recommend it to everyone!
I also watched "Miss Congeniality 2" this was very funny and also scores 2 thumbs up..
"Hostage"! is a very good suspense movie and of course Bruce Willis plays the heck out of his part. A must see film
Tarzan 2 has already came out but i did not get to tell you if i like it or not..lol
This was a very cute film for the younger children. And George Carlan's voice as a monkey was a nice touch. Has a great moral for the story and if you pay attention to it you will get it.

Mom
Mom is getting back to normal...well as normal as can be expected..lol Not that she was "normal" before everything..lmao. Mom...you know i am just playing.hehe.
She was walking around the stores last week better than i was! But truth is i walk around stores much better with cash that i can spend with me. When i walk the stores with no money ...i really don't want to bother...lol.
_____________________________________________________________
I want to get started on the porch..still a big hole there...i told my husband that the faster he digs and frames the thing the faster i will work on cement for the thing. My front yard looks nice on one side and then there is this big gapping hole on the other.
There is still so much that i want to get done...and due time i know it will get done.
________________________________________________________________
Saturday we all went to what they call the "Gratiot Cruise" ...this is where every year that all the classic cars go cruising down a very busy street or park along all the business' so that people can walk up and down the street and look at all the beautiful cars. We walked 2 miles of this stretch and then ended up at the fair that was taking place. The kids got wrist bands and rode all the rides as many times as they could stand. I had to leave just then, but from what i heard my daughter rode the "scrambler" 17 times! I heard that the neighbor kid almost vomited from the strawberry ride that you can spin and spin. Apparently my husband was a major factor in that..lol..He was the one that was doing the spinning. Poor kid!
Well i think i have rambled on enough...time for bed!

Borrowed from a fellow blogger.
LIFE IN THE 1500’S Don’t know if this a true article or not - but it sure is fun to read!
I borrowed this from a blogger friend that i read
http://momma.jenkinsonline.net/
I found it very interesting to read.
The next time you are washing your hands and complain because the water temperature isn’t just how you like it, think about how things used to be. Here are some facts about the1500s: These are interesting… Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May, and still smelled pretty good by June. However, they were starting to smell, so brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odor. Hence the custom today of carrying a bouquet when getting married.
Baths consisted of a big tub filled with hot water. The man of the house had the privilege of the nice clean water, then all the other sons and men, then the women and finally the children. Last of all the babies. By then the water was so dirty you could actually lose someone in it. Hence the saying, Don’t throw the baby out with the Bath water..
Houses had thatched roofs-thick straw-piled high, with no wood underneath. It was the only place for animals to get warm, so all the cats and other small animals (mice, bugs) lived in the roof. When it rained it became slippery and sometimes the animals would slip and fall off the roof. Hence the saying . It’s raining cats and dogs.
There was nothing to stop things from falling into the house. This posed a real problem in the bedroom where bugs and other droppings could mess up your nice clean bed. Hence, a bed with big posts and a sheet hung over the top afforded some protection. That’s how canopy beds came into existence. The floor was dirt. Only the wealthy had something other than dirt.
Hence the saying, Dirt poor.
The wealthy had slate floors That would get slippery in the winter when wet , so they spread thresh (straw) on floor to help keep their footing. As the winter wore on, they added more thresh until, when you opened the door, it would all start slipping outside. A piece of wood was placed in the entranceway. Hence the saying a ...thresh hold..
(Getting quite an education, aren’t you?)
In those old days, they cooked in the kitchen with a big kettle that always hung over the fire. Every day they lit the fire and added things to the pot. They ate mostly vegetables and did not get much meat. They would eat the stew for dinner, leaving leftovers in the pot to get cold overnight and then start over the next day. Sometimes stew had food in it that had been there for quite a while. Hence the rhyme, Peas porridge hot, peas porridge cold, peas porridge in the pot nine days old..
Sometimes they could obtain pork, which made them feel quite special. When visitors came over, they would hang up their bacon to show off. It was a sign of wealth that a man could, bring home the bacon.. They would cut off a little to share with guests and would all sit around and chew the fat..
Those with money had plates made of pewter. Food with high acid content caused some of the lead to leach onto the food, causing lead poisoning death. This happened most often with tomatoes, so for the next 400 years or so, tomatoes were considered poisonous. Bread was divided according to status. Workers got the burnt bottom of the loaf, the family got the middle, and guests got the top, or the upper crust.
Lead cups were used to drink ale or whisky. The combination would sometimes knock the imbibers out for a couple of days. Someone walking along the road would take them for dead and prepare them for burial. They were laid out on the kitchen table for a couple of days and the family would gather around and eat and drink and wait and see if they would wake up. Hence the custom of holding a wake.
England is old and small and the local folks started running out of places to bury people. So they would dig up coffins and would take the bones to a bone-house, and reuse the grave. When reopening these coffins, 1 out of 25 coffins were found to have scratch marks on the inside and they realized they had been burying people alive. So they would tie a string on the wrist of the corpse, lead it through the coffin and up through the ground and tie it to a bell. Someone would have to sit out in the graveyard all night (the graveyard shift.) to listen for the bell; thus, someone could be, saved by the bell. or was considered a ...dead ringer.. And that’s the truth...
Now , whoever said History was boring ! ! !

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY
There is so much i want to talk about, but i don't want to bore anyone either. But here it goes.
Firstly, my son Darin is graduating the 5th grade in just a few short hours. He will be going to junior high. (my next line is) How fast they grow up. Looking at pics and watching videos of the kids remind me that they were little at one time. I loved watching Darin put socks on his fists as if they were boxing gloves and act like he was Muhammed Ali and say to his dad "wanna fight". Those were the days. Or Amber coming to me with her coloring books and crayons saying "mom will you color with me?". Now they want to be left alone and they have other friends and interests in mind.
They both are precious and i don't know what i would do without them both. And they know there is nothing that i won't do to make them as happy as i can.
_____________________________________________________________________
Now how about that Michael Jackson thing?..I cannot believe that he got off every single count! And you don't know if the children are lying. I admit that back in my teens i liked Michael's music alot and admired all that he did for kids back then and even for the kids today. But i have to say that even after the first allegations of molestation, as a parent i would never have left my child alone with him even for a second. I would have a watchful eye at all times. I would like to believe that he is innocent and if he isn't i hope that their will be no more victims. If they are not true, if i were Michael, I would lock myself in the house and give up on having anything to do with kids.
____________________________________________________________________
I've been really busy with my house lately, On Monday I went outside and pulled grass and weeds out of all my cracks in the cement in my driveway. It had been bothering me for some time now, but the weather had been so hot that it would have baked me to the cement.
We also started digging up the spot for the porch i'm going to make as soon as i can get some money for the cement. Frank and I would really love to put a couple chairs out front and watch our kids playing.
I hung a picture that my mother got for my son for graduating. It's really beautiful, it looks like a white tiger getting ready to pounce on something, since Darin's room is designed in white tiger, it looks very nice next to the shelf.
I cleaned several animal cages today. They needed some upkeep
Well i really wanted to talk about some other things but i'm falling asleep at the keyboard...i will write more later

Glad it's over
Today was my birthday, I don't feel any older or wiser or like it's any big deal. I will tell ya how i do feel....BROKE! God i hate this feeling. I woke up to my cable being shut off. I had to pay them to turn it back on...there went some of the vacation money that i put aside. Hopefully i will be able to put it back.
Things went pretty good at work. Yes, i did work on my birthday. I don't really care about working on my birthday. I walked in to work today and went to the back room and punched in on the time clock and by the time that i went up front to start my shift the employees all had Happy Birthday hats on and they bought us some cupcakes to eat. One of my employees named Warren actually baked me some chocolate chip cookies and brought them up to work for me. I thought that was very nice for a young man to do that.
Yesterday i had to call the police on 3 juveniles in my store stealing yu-gi-oh cards. The thing that suprised me is that they were not even frightened about it. They were not afraid of being caught, the cops, and i don't think they were afraid of the parents either. It's really sad...i swear the kids were only 9 and 10 years old. They live in the apartments that are across a major road from us. I don't even let my 9 and 10 year old cross the street without adult supervision in some way much less a busy road.
All in all i had a good day..
And to those that wished me a happy birthday.. i Thank You very much..
Now to get some shut eye...i can't stay awake.
