DECORATIONS AND POEM

These are pics of the hall that we all worked very hard on.

you see those tables...yeh, i did that... :)
Everything was decorated!!! Windows, walls, doors the works!

i made this poster for Jaycee!

I guess i will type my poem...because who knows when masen will upload it...but as soon i get you all will see it...all my blubbering wonder.

TO MY JAYCEE

Oh my god the time has flown
It doesn't seem that long ago
That you were once a little girl
That was once my whole wide world

I remember a time when i would pretend you were mine

your mom was nice enough to say that's just fine

but at the end of the day

i would have to give you away
i loved every minute we spent together
sometimes i wished it would last forever

We have been thru alot in eighteen years
and every one of them i will hold dear
i can't imagine you not in my life
it would not be the same, it would cut me like a knife

Your talents are so many
to many to list
failure for you would only make you pissed!
you can dance, you can sing
you can do almost anything

My love for you grows stronger everyday
i can't believe its your graduation day
you have the heart and mind to do what needs to be done
but don't forget to have a little fun!

I am yours
and i know your mine
I will always be your Auntie Slime

I wish you all the best in all you do
i know you'll go far that's all i want for you!

Where to start

I'm back safe and sound from up North with my friends...I shouldn't say friends, they are like my family. Friday morning we woke up early to do what needed to be done before i made the 3 hour trip up North. We arrived around 12:30pm and it was go, go, go. We started off by looking at tatoos just before our appt. I finally found something that i really fell in love with!

So off to the Hall and we got it all decorated. Then run over to the tattoo place, I went first and it wasn't so bad getting it on the arm. The guy was great, fast, and the place was very clean and he had alot to chose from, but i still loved what you see in these pics...This is my Mom and Dad tribute.

Then it was the graduating girl, Jaycee's turn...she finally found something that she liked...she actually put 2 different tat's together to come up with this one....I think it's beautiful and it really is her!

After the tattoo's it was back to the house to finish the food for the party. We were up until 3:30 in the morning to cook and make picture posters to hang in the hall! It was so beautiful!

My little tattoo partner :) Happy Graduation Jaycee!! I loved every minute we spent together...
Now i know i owe you guys the poem, and i am definitely going to post lots of pics. Someone recorded the poem and as soon as he gets it up on You Tube i will share it with you all. Yes you will see me nervous, yes, i almost cry.
This is just a taste of what happened while i was gone..

REUNITED!

This is my friend Pam. We were best friends when i was like 10 and 11. We were reunited because of Facebook! I had tried to look her up, but with no avail. She found me in the same week that i was was looking for her. We got a good laugh about that. It was good catching up, on the phone and then for her to come to my house was beyond me! Our conversations seem like we picked up right from where we left off. I was happy to find out that she found a special man and married him, his name is Chris, he seems to be very nice! So i have her as a friend and a Bonus by marriage friend..lol
In other news, i am very excited about going to my Jaycee's graduation party. For some reason I decided to write a poem to read to her at the party. No I am no poet, but for some reason it flowed right out of me. I would share it with you right now, but she reads my blog and don't want to spoil it, i will post it on the 19th or 20th.
Kids are doing great, they are loving summer vacay! Amber cleaned her entire room yesterday and moved it! I mean she took everything out of her room, emptied her closet and cleaned! Rearranged everything and put it all back together! It wasn't that bad because I had cleaned quite of bit of it before she thought of it. I'm proud of her!
Darin is drawing again, as soon as I can get some pics of them i will post them, or if that don't work i will have mom scan them and send them to me. I am so happy my mom's talent of drawing passed onto him. I can't draw a stick figure right...lol
Anyway, i'm about to take my ass outside...it's a gorgeous day!

TRIBUTE TO MY JAYCEE!!!

My best friend daughter graduated high school and is having her party on the 18th. I am looking forward to going up and seeing her and the whole family. It seems like just yesterday i was changing her diapers. Buying her frillies (even tho her mom hated that kind of stuff) but who cares...when she was with me..she wore what i wanted her to wear! I'm pretty sure i was the first to buy her a barbie (something else her mom was dead set against also)..but so! She was like a daughter to me...and still is! She calls me mommy every time she talks to me or she calls me Auntie Slime. Why Auntie Slime? Because at toddler age Auntie Caroline was too hard to say, it came out Slime. She was too cute to correct so it stuck! Her mom made sure of that!

I spent alot of time with her the first year of her life. Practically raised her. I have many good memories of her. As she gets older I have seen her grow into a beautiful woman. Not only on the outside, but on the inside. She glows with kindness. She is nothing like her mother. Thank God! lol. Her love of animals, her love of people, the way she can make friends in an instant. She tries to make everyone comfortable. The way when she sees me she wants to be near me, practically still sitting in my lap, wanting to always hug me. I LOVE THIS GIRL with all of my heart!

She has many talents, she has been in many pageants, winning many awards. But this girl can sing, almost makes you want to cry. She has volunteered for everything under the sun. Even when her health is not perfect she does what she can and never gives up!
This is her boyfriend Josh. They seem so happy together and i wish them all the luck in the world. LOVE YA JAYCEE!

FRIENDS, SHINERS, FIREWORKS

Nothing too exciting has been happening around here. I'm too tired to really get into details so i will do short cuts.

-My best friend from like when i was 9 to 10 got ahold of me via facebook. Funny thing she had been looking for me, but i was looking for her also on there. I did not have her married name, but was hoping that maybe she put in her maiden like so many others do. Anyways after chatting on facebook for awhile she called me on the phone and we talked for something like 2 hours non stop! It was great catching up, we found out alot about our past that neither one of us had known. I will write more about her, but like i said i am tired.

-Today while sitting at my neighbors picnic table my son grabbed my husband which made him swing out his arm and my husband's fist caught me in the eye and now i have a shiner! sucks! It was an accident, lucky for both that i knew it was.

-What's everyone's holiday plans? I have to work 6:30 till 3 then afterwards we are going to my neighbors for a bbq! we are having chicken, my neighbor says she is making a special dessert with strawberries. So looking forward to it!

-My husband took the kids to see the Hazel Park fireworks today. I was going to go, but i am way tired and i have to get up at 5:00 am, so i am just about to hit the hay!

So with that...I say goodnight!

THE SUCKINESS OF LIFE RIGHT NOW

What the heck is going on with this week..

As i was leaving my house a few days back everything out front was as it should be but when i got home the first thing i noticed was my little garden lighthouse was stolen. The way i figure it my daughter says it was there at 6 pm but by the time i got home around 8:30 pm it was gone, and get this, my husband was in the house sleeping and my son was in his room. How daring people are getting!!! I really liked that lighthouse! It had a light at the top that went round and round. SUCKS!!

Yesterday after work i had to take my daughter to the doctors, she has been breaking out with lots of pimples under her armpit. Trying to figure out why. But the doctor said something that may be the problem...seems since she has used shaving cream she has been breaking out..i told her to just start using soap and water like she was before the break out. She doesn't think it is because it's not happening to her legs...but i told her maybe the skin on her armpits don't like it.
So she is now on some antibiotics to get rid of the puss and stuff under there. While i was there for her armpits i mentioned to him that she really has a problem with underarm wetness and that i have tried every clinic type stuff out there and she still has a problem. He wrote a script for a lotion that may help....we'll see!

So after doctors i drop my lovely daughter at grandma's and get all the way home and pull into the drive way at the same time my neighbor did and she says "Caroline you have a flat tire", WTF! So there was the fun of finding the jack and figuring out how to use everything that you need to change a tire because you haven't needed to use this stuff before...anywhoshits...get the tire off and run up to the local gas station where they fix it with a tire tampon...lol that's what i call those...run back home and put tire back on like nothing ever happened.

Ok that's enough of the bad stuff...one good thing about this week....

Amber says "mom i need pants" I don't know about you...but i can't buy new clothes all the time... I buy "new" clothes for beginning of school and like Christmas time. For the in between times the Salvation Army is very helpful...So i take my daughter there and she finds many pairs of jeans and ends up with about 3 that are acceptable...1 pair actually still had tags on it. We also tried on some t shirts and she ended up with 2 new shirts ...with 1 still having tags on it...so 3 pairs of jeans, 2 shirts that would have probably cost me over 100 dollars, i walked out with a price tag of $15.32!! Priceless!!! She's happy, I'm ecstatic!

I have realized that i put alot of pictures of Amber on here...that's because she is a camera ham! Darin must have been bored one day and decided to take a few pics of himself...I am more than happy with sharing it with the world :)

ooooo ...so serious!

he's just cute!

this one caught me off guard and i laughed a ton!!

random

The kids are soooo enjoying their summer vacation. I think i have seen my daughter maybe 3 days since school has been out. She has spent the night over every girlfriends house that she can think of and taking many, many pics. I thought i would share a few with you.

Do you remember doing this with your girlfriends? No?, i do...lol I used to put little eyeballs on my eyes...

They look kinda sweet!

I just love Ambers eyes! gorgeous!

Seriously she is going to break hearts.

her friend uribi, the wonderful singer.

a random picture of a flower at my mother's house.

her friend jordan. she is very pretty herself.

cute eh?

I got to crimp Amber's hair!!!!!! She let me do something to it!!
Does anyone know where i can find a chastity belt?
It's getting scary ya'll!!

Ok, now that we have peeked into Amber's photo album.
We went to the Clay Walker concert on Saturday and i was completely amazed how unbusy the concert was. We had lawn seats at the DTE Energy Theatre and was lucky to be invited to sit in the pavillion due to the attendance. It was an awesome concert, and the best part was being able to get out of there without any traffic what so ever. Bonus!!!
Amber and her friends were checking out fella's all night...I guess Amber thought the cotton-candy dude was cute...they kept searching for him...they would call him cotton candy dude or they decided to name him "Jason" for the sake of calling him a name..lol.
Besides that, just got my nose to the grindstone, taking each day as they come at me.

Amber and her friends without make-up

Amber and her friend Jordan...I gotta watch out for them.

WORK HISTORY.

I was just thinking about all the jobs I have had.

My first paying job other than allowance from parents was working with my neighbor at the age of 12 was dusting the bottoms of all the chairs at a lab. I earned $1.00 a night. That was awesome back then!

Then of course babysitting jobs. I enjoyed doing that. I took care of 4 children for the sister of the neighbor that i dusted chairs for. I was like 13 or 14. Got payed pretty good for it.

Then I started cleaning many different buildings with the family that i babysat for. I got payed really well for a 14, 15 year old. They were good to me.

When I was 15 I got a job at Big Boy's with my friend at the time. I was a hostess for 6 months and then i became a waitress for 6 months. It was my first official paycheck!!

At 16 I started to work for Mcdonald's, I worked there for the next 6 years. I worked my way to crew chief just under a manager because i was too young to be on. I was fired because a manager was stealing out of my drawer. It was only after i left that they found this out.

After I graduated High School I worked Mcdonald's and I worked for Mobil gas station, i did that for over a year. I quit Mobil because the owner was asking to many personal question and my boyfriend(who is my husband) didn't like it.

I worked for Motel 6, i worked 3 months, the day they made me head housekeeper i never showed up there again. I feared for my life because there was alot housekeepers there that had been there longer than me and would never take me seriously. (i still believe it was racial).

I ended up back at another McDonald's and worked there 10 more years. I worked my way to 3rd assistant manager. I was pretty happy there, but did not get along with the supervisor's daughter. I had to quit on the spot one day when it became quite clear that i was about to grab her by her skinny throat!

Don't worry at the time i was lucky to get a job working at a Blockbuster's and had been working both jobs for 4 months. When i decided to quit, Blockbuster's was asking me to quit Mcdonald's to work for them full time...I took the leap!

I worked for Blockbuster's for 5 whole years!!!! I was a manager there from the day that i walked thru the doors. I loved that job!! But all good things come to an end. I was knocked down from working full time, to working only 20 hours a week. So i was forced to search for either a full time job or a part time job. I got lucky to work at the hospital I am working now.

The hospital also demanded alot of my time and sure wanted me to quit Blockbuster's to work for them full time. It just felt right and so far so good it was a wise decision.

My current job is my favorite, there is a variety of jobs that i do that makes it interesting. The pace is much different, and for the first time I am not "the boss" I so wanted out of being the boss.

My worst job, Motel 6! it was digusting. You don't want to know what i have seen in a room.

So what's your favorite job? and what job did you totally hate!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY-TO ME AND MY FATHER!!!!

Today i turned 39 and my father turned 62! I would like to Thank those that have made this possible. God for creating all things, and Mom and Dad for bumping uglies to create what is me!

In other news I broke down and joined facebook because "everyone is doing it". Honestly it was because my best friend posted pictures of her daughter graduating on there and if i wanted to see them i had to join. But, in 2 days I have seen and caught up with a few old friends. Neat, it will be a lovely past time I suppose. Facebook is really hard to figure out for the most part.

Darin has been shaving for quite awhile now and today was his first slip up. He shaved a nice chunk off his lip..lol Yeh, that's a band-aid on his lip. lol

oh and he will kill me..but i found out on one of our special talks that he is crushing on a girl in school :) awwwwww...

he don't know if she likes him tho :(
who could resist his charm and good looks?

it's too early for any of that...but it's cute.

GREY SQUARE...LOL

I don't know what it is about today, but I found myself laughing the whole day.

Today I had alot to do, and my daughter had the day off of school, so I took her with me.

First thing I had to do was go to the Secretary of State to renew my plates on the vehicles because Monday is MY BIRTHDAY!!! WOOHOOO!!!

I hope I can make this sound as funny as it actually was in person.

So while we were sitting there a man walked up to the counter and the lady behind the counter said to him "could you go stand on the grey square?" Here's where I am thinking to myself "if it was me I would not stand on it..I would stand next to it, or in front or behind it, just because she actually had to say stand on the grey square" (instead of just saying could you just back up) so finally I could not keep this thought in my head so I decide that I would tell my daughter what I was thinking. She busts out with "no kidding this is not kindergarten" which makes me laugh until no end!

So, it's my turn at the counter and I accidently stepped on Amber's pant leg, she says to me "Don't step on my pants" and I say "well if you would clip those hanging pieces off I wouln't have" which the lady behind the counter chimes in with "wow, your some girl"....then I say "you should have heard her about your grey square" and I proceed to tell her, which makes her laugh.

You would think that would be enough laughter in a DMV, but no! On our way out Amber spots a different colored square and points and says "I wonder what they do with that square?" This makes me laugh until I was snorting!

Ok, next stop was to my work to pick up prescriptions from the pharmacy. We are commenting on the tiles and thanking God that we did not have to step on a special colored tile. More laughter.

Then on to grocery shopping to prepare for Amber's little backyard party in the tent. She invited 3 of her girlfriend's over to spend the night in the tent. You know you need provisions for such an event. The whole time we are making things up for the grey square...if her brother or her father gets out of line they will have to step onto the grey square...

Not funny? Well, I guess you just had to be there!

It was a fun girls day out! I laughed until i hurt my stomach and tears came out of eyes.

TMI THURSDAY: I LOVE YOU HONEY :)

TMI Thursday

Has it really been a week?

Because I can't think of any TMI's about myself, i'm going to throw my husband under the bus today. lol

About 7 years ago while visiting in Vermont, some relatives, Frank's mom, brother, sister, and cousins decided that we were going to a Montshire museum for a little typical tourist thing.

Well the day that we decided to go Frank woke up not feeling to great, but did not want to disappoint everyone and their plans.

While driving to the museum Frank kept saying he was so sick, and just as I got near a rest area he says "stop there", not nearly in enough time for me to actually make that turn. Just as we passed he says "oh no, I just shit my pants". People this was watery diarhea! He sharted in his pants. We were very close to our destination, so he tried not to sit on it, he even asked me what he should do and I told him " go straight to the bathroom and throw your underwear away". When we got there he went straight to the bathroom. He was in the bathroom most of the time that we were there or out in the car laying down.

Seriously, after he was fine, we all laughed till no end!

TMI THURSDAY: POTTY TRAINING

As Lilu would say

***Alright, folks, you know the rules. Join us all in humiliating the crap out of yourself every Thursday by sharing some completely tasteless, wholly unclassy, "how many readers can I estrange THIS week??" TMI story about your life. Or hell, bout someone else.

TMI Thursday

This happened when I was around 9, 10, or 11, I can't remember how old. We lived in a 2 story house back in Hazel Park. One of the bedrooms was on the first floor which we used as a toy room, filled with everything my sister and I would play with, just opposite this room was our bathroom.

Many times instead of walking upstairs to my bedroom to sleep I would just fall asleep on the couch watching T.V. On this one particular night my mom and sister tried to wake me up to take me to my bedroom. (From here it's all hear say, stuff my sister and mom informed me)
Apparently I got up and walked into the playroom where there was a doll chair right next to the door. I sat in this chair and proceeded to empty my bladder before I went to my bed. My mother looked at me dumbfounded and said "what do you think your doing?" apparently I looked up at her and said (in my most like your stupid voice) "going pee what else!" When I was finished I got up and went to bed.

Yes folks, I was sleep peeing!!! I don't remember any of it and to this day has never been proven to me..lol

DISTURBING

Amber always carries her camera almost everywhere. While walking around a Meijers the other day I walked by this in the sporting goods isle. I looked, I stopped, I laughed and my daughter asked what I was laughing about. I pointed, she started to laugh and took this picture. Not too often that you see a beaver raping a tiger...lol

EYES

Every now and then my daughter takes a pic that absolutely catches her beauty. Who would not just love eyes like those!
They are such a beautiful blue. In some light they are very intense, and with eyeliner on it just brings them out even more.
We had a great weekend. We visited a park for a picnic, which turned out to be a lovely day there. We played cards, we bought a new game, similar to horseshoes, called Bulls-eye Washer .
Pretty fun if you like horseshoes you will like this game. Frank and I played today and he beat me by a couple points.
Today we went to the city's huge garage sale. We had never been before and it was interesting and nice...Nothing that really caught my eye that i just had to have it. But Amber found 2 more necklaces to add to her collection. One was a stone pig and one metal turtle, she got a great buy for both of them. I saw lots of earrings that i liked, but my husband said you rarely wear earrings so why buy them. I just thought "at least i would have them". But he had a point and I would put them back down. It was just nice to walk around and see a few neighbors checking out the merchandise also. The city here really does alot of nice things for us. In July they will be putting on the free concerts in front of city hall again. I can't wait. I hope they have some good ones again.
Well I'm off to make tuna noodle salad and get back outdoors.
Later!

TMI THURSDAY" YEH I HIT THAT!

AS LILU WOULD SAY:

***Alright, folks, you know the rules. Join us all in humiliating the crap out of yourself every Thursday by sharing some completely tasteless, wholly unclassy, "how many readers can I estrange THIS week??" TMI story about your life. Or hell, about someone else's!***

TMI Thursday

When I was 7 or 8 "you know a young dumbass"lol

I used to love riding my bike, I rode my bike everywhere! Well, when I got chance to take a 10 speed for a spin for the first time I took it. See, back in 1977 or 1978 10 speeds were just getting popular. Well I was aloud to take it about 5 houses up and was told to come back. It was a big bike, much bigger than me. I went up the 5 houses and tried to turn it around but was not able to make a successful turn and hit a porch stair very hard!!!! Oh, i forgot to mention that this was a men's 10 speed bike!!!! Ouch...yep, right where it counts!!!

My va-jay-jay swelled twice as big and turned all pretty colors on a still hairless body part. It hurt so bad, to walk to sit, to do anything.

Where does the embarrassing part come in? Thought you would never ask. Well while recovering I had some boys that were friends and I thought we had hidden ourselves well enough to show my "friend" what I had done to myself, you know all the pretty colors. I thought we were alone. Well turns out the neighbor lady looked out and saw me showing my business to this "friend that was a boy". I freaked out and ran home, I was so scared that the lady was going to come to the house and tell on me, that i thought i would beat her to it and told my father what i had done ( he was the only one home at the time). He gave me the usual lecture, don't do it again...etc. etc. etc. It happened 30 years ago...but i remember it like it was yesterday!

p.s. The neighbor never came over and told on me.

AMAZING SINGER

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KpcWEYmpSg&feature=channel_page

This young lady goes to my daughter's school and I think she is an amazing singer. Last year she did an outstanding song from Christina Aguilera called "Hurt", and this year I think she knocked one out of the park with this song. Her name Uribi and I hope that one day I will see her on American Idol or something like it.

CELL PHONE DROWNING

Pretty boring on this side. Work, school, cleaning is about all that's happening over here.

Mom was over for her birthday and my stupid butt did a quick change from uniform to some regular clothes without emptying my shirt pocket. Well while mom and I were at the talent show my awesome husband did a load of laundry. When I got home I was looking for my cell phone and I said "I think I left my cell phone in my work pocket", my husband said "you better not have" . My poor cell phone bit the dust, washed, rinsed, and rinsed again. NICE!! I'm glad I saved my old cell phone, I can use that until I can afford a new one.

Despite all our best efforts it could not be saved. :(

I just looked at the calendar and I can't believe how close it is until school is out. I'm looking forward to the summer. Maybe take the kids on a few lunches to the beach, or whatever floats our boats. :)

Have a great day!
