vacation!!!! wooo hooo!

Well as of Monday at 4 in the morning i am leaving Michigan to visit New Jersey for 5 days.
I really can't wait to go, but I really hate the long drive. My only fears of traveling is breaking down in the car, in a state that i have no clue about.

I have alot to do on Sunday, finish cleaning the house and laundry and cages and packing on top of putting my 8 hours in at work! Frank is going to be a doll and do alot for me while i am working which will take some of the stress off me.

Today i took my car to a car wash and vacuumed the crap out of it, and then gave it a good bath. Then came home and washed the inside windows and then I Fabreezed it to death! Just to make it smell good. A few weeks ago my husband left a slab of ribs in the car and made my car smell like the city morgue! Well the smell is no longer there thank god!

Well i will tell ya all about New Jersey when i get back .

I'm Learning..

As you can see i have done a few things to my blog to make it more personal to me. Mom and I are both trying different things. She has been showing me different things that she has learned and i take it home and try it out for mine. Since i don't really get on the computer as much as i would like to i rely on her to tell or show me what she learned.

I've also been learning how to play Dominoes!!! It is so fun to play! I can't believe i have not learned to play this sooner! If you get the chance to learn it, i highly recommend it! I have taught my mother and my son to play the double 6's. Once you start it is kinda addicting.

____________________________________________________________________

Work was weird today. Where i work its called a strip mall, and at this strip mall 99 percent of it the power was knocked out all day!!!! Only a section with about 8 stores was open with power this included my store.

Well anyways, this lady walked in, looked around, got some movies and came up to the register with movies in her hand and handed them to me and then asks "Are you guys open"? It doesn't take a genious to figure what i was thinking at that moment! All i could say was "your in the store aren't ya!!" But what i really was wanting to say is "Here's your sign!" Anyone that has every watched Bill Engval will know what i mean on that! I mean how many stores do you know that are closed but yet your able to walk inside of it. Go Figure!

___________________________________________________________________

Movies

I watched "Guess Who" and i have to say that it was pretty funny. The movie is about an interacial relationship and Ashton Kutcher is going to meet his fiance's dad. Bernie Mac is the dad so you know with that combination, your looking at a funny movie!

___________________________________________________________________

My son is in major pain right now. My cousin took him to an outdoor waterpark and really got fried by the sun. I wished i knew he was going there or i would have packed him a shirt to wear. I know that he is just like me...he would fry! So no shirt, and he got burnt to the point of blisters all over his shoulders and arms! The pain my poor little poor went thru when they popped yesterday was enough to make you cry. Luckily my neighbor had some silverdene and i went and got some gauze to cover his poor skin. He is doing better today thankfully. I just want him to get better before we go on our trip to New Jersey.

_________________________________________________________________

Anybody know of any good sites to see in New Jersey? Something on the cheap end would be helpful...lol I'm still trying to figure out how we are getting down there..lol
Well ya'll i'm getting tired. Hello Tired

I had a day off :)

I didn't do much today other than pay a bill and do some grocery shopping. This is very unusual for me. I usually have 342 things to do in a day.

My son asked if i would take him to Kmart's so he could spend some of his money that he had saved. He purchased an action figure, and my daughter had a few dollars and purchased some puzzles and some more plastic animals. I say my daughter now owns over a thousand of these plastic animals. If she doesn't grow up to do something in the animal field, i think i will just die!

While looking around Kmart i saw so many things that i would like to purchase but just can't. Like all summer i have been looking for sandles for my daughter and i finally found some that i like. One of the pairs you can tie up in front and one has a velcro that attaches the shoe on. I have been looking for sandles that have a heel on them. I think they are much safer for her to play in that way. Well anyways, as usual i don't have the money to purchase them...they want 20 dollars for them. And you know what happens now, i will get the money and they will be all out of them.

___________________________________________________________________

Movies

I watched "Man of the house" with Tommy Lee Jones. I give this a high five in comedy. I found it very funny to watch. So much so that i watched it twice. Tommy plays a cop that has to watch over 5 cheerleaders that witnessed a murder.

I also got to watch "Ice Princess". Trust me if you have a daughter, she will love this movie! My daughter has watched it at least 5 times! This movie is about a girl that decides she is going to study figure skaters and use it towards getting a scholarship in physics. Well she decides to try and test her theory's with her problem solving and really gets into figure skating. Disney always makes such good family movies.

I have one more movie to watch and that is "King's Ransom" I will get back to ya on that one.
___________________________________________________________________
On a personal note:

I have a couple of friends that are having a hard time in their marriages, I just want them to know that i am thinking of them and praying for things to work out!

___________________________________________________________________

Frank and the neighbor went out fishing today and i have to say that Frank actually brought home a nice size fish! A pretty big bass! I laughed when the neighbors daughter asked where they had bought it from. lol That falls under kids say the darndest things.

They plan on going all weekend. I hope they do have some fun. And the boat is getting some use.

Monday muddle

Well i know it's been awhile. I hope that everyone had a great 4th of July. I did, it's not very often that i have any holidays off. But i have to be happy that this year the holidays have been falling on a Monday, and i usually don't work Mondays. We just went across the street from our house and had a small bbq and lit some fireworks off. That is until the massive storm came and stopped our little fun. Oh well we saved some fireworks for next year.

_____________________________________________________________________

This past Saturday was our family reunion and i have to say that it was dissappointing not to see alot of our family there. I guess everyone had other plans. Its hard to say how many people will show up for these things. But there was alot of people that said they were coming and never did.

Anyways Frank brought his boat and found out that the battery went bad, but thankfully his motor pull starts anyways. We went fishing for 2 hours and my daughter caught a little fishie and my husband caught a little fishie and I caught sun poisoning!

By the time we got back i was sick as a dog! All night i kept feeling like i had to vomit. I went across the street and helped put up a tent and then chatted for a bit and i had to excuse myself and go home. I had to make myself throw up to make myself feel better. Does that make any sense? Well i went straight to bed after that. When i got up in the morning I felt like someone hooked up a vacuum cleaner to me and sucked every bit of energy that i had out of me.

I did manage to do a little cleaning around the house with the help of my great son who always takes pity on his mom when she is ill :) . While my husband and daughter stayed asleep. But when they finally dragged their butts out of bed we had to do some light shopping, but by then i was dead to the world. All I wanted was bed. I slept for a few minutes and then off to work. My god every butt head in the world comes in when your not yourself! Everyone had a comment about my face, (it was red as a beet) Yeh, i needed that!

Well finally i did start feeling better around 11 at night, my stomach started to settle down and i was starting to be able to tolerate all the idiots that came in, even the jerks that came in 5 minutes to close. ___________________________________________________________________

I am really hoping that i will be able to come up with the money to go to New Jersey in August. But if its not possible then its not possible, i have to worry about school clothes and we want to do a camping trip before the kids go back and all kinds of things. Then can you believe that i am already worried about Christmas shopping. Things usually fall into place but i have to wait and see.

Well i have rambled on long enough...hope all is well with everyone.

Wednesday

We'll see what i can come up with today.
Not a whole lot has been happening. I can tell you that the fights have now begun. I was betting another week before that was going to happen. Darin and Amber could not give me another week of peice. The "he's touching me" "she's looking at me" etc etc etc. You can see where i am going with this...lol.

I think my kids are becoming fish tho..lol..I don't think there has been a day yet that they have not been swimming. Between my mother's pool and the neighbors pool they have become very aquatic.
_____________________________________________________________________

Today my daughter thought it would be cute to dress the chihauhau's up in cute baby clothes from the dolls that she has. I admit i thought it was cute too, till she done it for the 4th time and the "boys"(the dogs) were looking at me like "ok...this is enough" lol
She even dressed up the dog that is huge in her very own clothes, a skirt and top. " Mini" was not having it! She sure puts up with alot. Thank god she is good natured.

My son Darin has really been a comedian lately! He cracks me up with his one liners and little digs. God i am proud! The other day he told his sister after a few little battles "Your ears are so big, elephants use them as shade!" I about died! I couldn't breathe i was laughing so hard. Of course Ambers ears are not that big...But for him to just make that up on the spot was great!
Now he has changed it a bit " your ears are so big, Nasa uses them as radar" He kills me...lol

___________________________________________________________________

Today was a meeting at another store, we spent 2 hours in this small room all for them to say that we are going to start training our new employees in our own store! I don't know why they didn't do that in the first place, it never made sense to me. But, who the hell am i to tell them they are screwed up..lol Oh and we got to build a airplane out of paper. Once with instructions and no help, we only got just a few minutes. Mind you that we got 2 sets of instructions and we all wanted to read them. Then we did it all together, reading and she showed us how it was supposed to be. I guess it was suppose to show us that when training if we show and then guide them, they would be successful employees.

This is great and i fully respect it! Buttttttttttttttttt.....When i started i was shown nearly shit! Read nothing! And was given a store to operate by myself on the 6th day i was there. Mind you that i only worked 2 days in a week. Never working at a Blockbuster in my life! It was sink or swim baby for me. And i have taught or figured out almost everything by myself!

Other than that it was ok. We were able to leave in plenty of time to watch the Detroit fireworks on t.v. , which were very amazing! I loved the fireworks that shot up and blew up into the shape of hearts..(those that know me, know that i absolutely am a heart fanatic)
I really don't have any reason why i love them so much, but its been that way since i was very young!
___________________________________________________________________

Well i started off with nothing to say, and look what happened...lol Nighty night ya'll!

just babble..

Since i really did not have a start to this i guess i will start with a few movie reviews..

I watched "The Pacifier"..this i really thought it was funny! Vin D. plays a Navy guy that ends up watching over a family of kids. This was truely a funny movie.

My second movie was "Diary of a mad black woman" This was a pretty good drama, certainly worth a hour and a half of my time. There was some sad moments, funny moments, but a good all around drama. This is about a woman that her husband had an affair and the woman had 2 kids and one day decides the wife has to go and the tramp and kids are going to move in. He basically had all the wifes things packed and in a u-haul and kicked her out. She gets her revenge on him and ends up nice in the ending. All i can say is the guy that is playing the Grandmother was funny as all get out!

__________________________________________________________________

I've been trying to motivate myself to get started on the math skills with my daughter and i think i will start tomorrow...i gave them a break enough, time to start! It will also help my son with memorizing and maybe get him faster at it while i am doing it.

__________________________________________________________________-
I just finished reading Sylvia Browne's book Secrets and Mysteries, I read the whole thing in just a few days and with only a couple hours here and there with it. I find her very interesting, and her views on everything very informative. She writes about alot of aliens and alot about Jesus in this book. Some of what she talks about explains alot and makes perfect sense.

__________________________________________________________________

You know the other day at work must have been baby day, first i went to a baby shower and lord their was at least 3 babies ..all cousins sitting around me. Then there was about a billion come into work...I miss the baby and toddler phase. Not that i want anymore! I'm afraid that i will have another Amber and then their would probably be blood shed...lol.. Actually Amber is known to be the nuturer...She would probably take over the babies whole life..lol

I can't have anymore...But i sure wish i had access to one that i can give back once i was over it..lol
____________________________________________________________________

Well i think i will end here...gotta rest..bye

Kids are out of school

Let's see how long it takes for me to say that i am going insane with my children! I'm going to try to work with my daughter on her math skills over the summer. This is one of the grades she had the most trouble with. My son got mostly A's and B's! yehhhhhhhhhhh i will never complain about that! My daughter got B's and C's...still acceptable as long as i know that you tried really hard! I only told them that i had never had D's and F's and i expect them to do the same! To me that's just plain not trying at all!

Darin is a little scared of going to Junior High..very understandable...he will be looking at all kinds of different teachers and kids, and then we you get used to it they switch it up on you all over again. I know what he is going thru, but he makes friends fast and is very easy going.

_____________________________________________________________________

Movies

I watched "Coach Carter"...i tell ya that i am no sports fan at all but for a movie all about basketbal and teaching kids..i give it 2 thumbs up..a very good film and i recommend it to everyone!
I also watched "Miss Congeniality 2" this was very funny and also scores 2 thumbs up..
"Hostage"! is a very good suspense movie and of course Bruce Willis plays the heck out of his part. A must see film
Tarzan 2 has already came out but i did not get to tell you if i like it or not..lol
This was a very cute film for the younger children. And George Carlan's voice as a monkey was a nice touch. Has a great moral for the story and if you pay attention to it you will get it.
___________________________________________________________________

Mom

Mom is getting back to normal...well as normal as can be expected..lol Not that she was "normal" before everything..lmao. Mom...you know i am just playing.hehe.
She was walking around the stores last week better than i was! But truth is i walk around stores much better with cash that i can spend with me. When i walk the stores with no money ...i really don't want to bother...lol.
_____________________________________________________________

I want to get started on the porch..still a big hole there...i told my husband that the faster he digs and frames the thing the faster i will work on cement for the thing. My front yard looks nice on one side and then there is this big gapping hole on the other.

There is still so much that i want to get done...and due time i know it will get done.
________________________________________________________________

Saturday we all went to what they call the "Gratiot Cruise" ...this is where every year that all the classic cars go cruising down a very busy street or park along all the business' so that people can walk up and down the street and look at all the beautiful cars. We walked 2 miles of this stretch and then ended up at the fair that was taking place. The kids got wrist bands and rode all the rides as many times as they could stand. I had to leave just then, but from what i heard my daughter rode the "scrambler" 17 times! I heard that the neighbor kid almost vomited from the strawberry ride that you can spin and spin. Apparently my husband was a major factor in that..lol..He was the one that was doing the spinning. Poor kid!

Well i think i have rambled on enough...time for bed!

Borrowed from a fellow blogger.

LIFE IN THE 1500’S Don’t know if this a true article or not - but it sure is fun to read!
I borrowed this from a blogger friend that i read
http://momma.jenkinsonline.net/
I found it very interesting to read.

The next time you are washing your hands and complain because the water temperature isn’t just how you like it, think about how things used to be. Here are some facts about the1500s: These are interesting… Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May, and still smelled pretty good by June. However, they were starting to smell, so brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odor. Hence the custom today of carrying a bouquet when getting married.

Baths consisted of a big tub filled with hot water. The man of the house had the privilege of the nice clean water, then all the other sons and men, then the women and finally the children. Last of all the babies. By then the water was so dirty you could actually lose someone in it. Hence the saying, Don’t throw the baby out with the Bath water..

Houses had thatched roofs-thick straw-piled high, with no wood underneath. It was the only place for animals to get warm, so all the cats and other small animals (mice, bugs) lived in the roof. When it rained it became slippery and sometimes the animals would slip and fall off the roof. Hence the saying . It’s raining cats and dogs.

There was nothing to stop things from falling into the house. This posed a real problem in the bedroom where bugs and other droppings could mess up your nice clean bed. Hence, a bed with big posts and a sheet hung over the top afforded some protection. That’s how canopy beds came into existence. The floor was dirt. Only the wealthy had something other than dirt.
Hence the saying, Dirt poor.

The wealthy had slate floors That would get slippery in the winter when wet , so they spread thresh (straw) on floor to help keep their footing. As the winter wore on, they added more thresh until, when you opened the door, it would all start slipping outside. A piece of wood was placed in the entranceway. Hence the saying a ...thresh hold..

(Getting quite an education, aren’t you?)

In those old days, they cooked in the kitchen with a big kettle that always hung over the fire. Every day they lit the fire and added things to the pot. They ate mostly vegetables and did not get much meat. They would eat the stew for dinner, leaving leftovers in the pot to get cold overnight and then start over the next day. Sometimes stew had food in it that had been there for quite a while. Hence the rhyme, Peas porridge hot, peas porridge cold, peas porridge in the pot nine days old..

Sometimes they could obtain pork, which made them feel quite special. When visitors came over, they would hang up their bacon to show off. It was a sign of wealth that a man could, bring home the bacon.. They would cut off a little to share with guests and would all sit around and chew the fat..

Those with money had plates made of pewter. Food with high acid content caused some of the lead to leach onto the food, causing lead poisoning death. This happened most often with tomatoes, so for the next 400 years or so, tomatoes were considered poisonous. Bread was divided according to status. Workers got the burnt bottom of the loaf, the family got the middle, and guests got the top, or the upper crust.

Lead cups were used to drink ale or whisky. The combination would sometimes knock the imbibers out for a couple of days. Someone walking along the road would take them for dead and prepare them for burial. They were laid out on the kitchen table for a couple of days and the family would gather around and eat and drink and wait and see if they would wake up. Hence the custom of holding a wake.

England is old and small and the local folks started running out of places to bury people. So they would dig up coffins and would take the bones to a bone-house, and reuse the grave. When reopening these coffins, 1 out of 25 coffins were found to have scratch marks on the inside and they realized they had been burying people alive. So they would tie a string on the wrist of the corpse, lead it through the coffin and up through the ground and tie it to a bell. Someone would have to sit out in the graveyard all night (the graveyard shift.) to listen for the bell; thus, someone could be, saved by the bell. or was considered a ...dead ringer.. And that’s the truth...
Now , whoever said History was boring ! ! !

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY

There is so much i want to talk about, but i don't want to bore anyone either. But here it goes.

Firstly, my son Darin is graduating the 5th grade in just a few short hours. He will be going to junior high. (my next line is) How fast they grow up. Looking at pics and watching videos of the kids remind me that they were little at one time. I loved watching Darin put socks on his fists as if they were boxing gloves and act like he was Muhammed Ali and say to his dad "wanna fight". Those were the days. Or Amber coming to me with her coloring books and crayons saying "mom will you color with me?". Now they want to be left alone and they have other friends and interests in mind.

They both are precious and i don't know what i would do without them both. And they know there is nothing that i won't do to make them as happy as i can.

_____________________________________________________________________

Now how about that Michael Jackson thing?..I cannot believe that he got off every single count! And you don't know if the children are lying. I admit that back in my teens i liked Michael's music alot and admired all that he did for kids back then and even for the kids today. But i have to say that even after the first allegations of molestation, as a parent i would never have left my child alone with him even for a second. I would have a watchful eye at all times. I would like to believe that he is innocent and if he isn't i hope that their will be no more victims. If they are not true, if i were Michael, I would lock myself in the house and give up on having anything to do with kids.
____________________________________________________________________

I've been really busy with my house lately, On Monday I went outside and pulled grass and weeds out of all my cracks in the cement in my driveway. It had been bothering me for some time now, but the weather had been so hot that it would have baked me to the cement.

We also started digging up the spot for the porch i'm going to make as soon as i can get some money for the cement. Frank and I would really love to put a couple chairs out front and watch our kids playing.

I hung a picture that my mother got for my son for graduating. It's really beautiful, it looks like a white tiger getting ready to pounce on something, since Darin's room is designed in white tiger, it looks very nice next to the shelf.

I cleaned several animal cages today. They needed some upkeep

Well i really wanted to talk about some other things but i'm falling asleep at the keyboard...i will write more later

Glad it's over

Today was my birthday, I don't feel any older or wiser or like it's any big deal. I will tell ya how i do feel....BROKE! God i hate this feeling. I woke up to my cable being shut off. I had to pay them to turn it back on...there went some of the vacation money that i put aside. Hopefully i will be able to put it back.

Things went pretty good at work. Yes, i did work on my birthday. I don't really care about working on my birthday. I walked in to work today and went to the back room and punched in on the time clock and by the time that i went up front to start my shift the employees all had Happy Birthday hats on and they bought us some cupcakes to eat. One of my employees named Warren actually baked me some chocolate chip cookies and brought them up to work for me. I thought that was very nice for a young man to do that.

Yesterday i had to call the police on 3 juveniles in my store stealing yu-gi-oh cards. The thing that suprised me is that they were not even frightened about it. They were not afraid of being caught, the cops, and i don't think they were afraid of the parents either. It's really sad...i swear the kids were only 9 and 10 years old. They live in the apartments that are across a major road from us. I don't even let my 9 and 10 year old cross the street without adult supervision in some way much less a busy road.

All in all i had a good day..

And to those that wished me a happy birthday.. i Thank You very much..

Now to get some shut eye...i can't stay awake.

Memorial Day

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers for my mother. I'm happy to report that she was able to come home the next day. She is dealing with alot of pain expectedly. They had to cut her from the top of her right ear in the front, to the bottom of the ear and then all the way around her ear to the top of the back and down her neck to almost the middle of her throat. Then basically fold her face over and extract the tumor that was wrapped around a major nerve.

The doctor came out and said that the tumor was bigger than he had expected and wrapped around the nerve, but he was confident that he did not disturb the nerve. Mom had read up on some operations of this sorts that had gone bad. One guy could not close his eye to blink or sleep. Another had problems with her mouth. So many things could have happened but didn't and i am thankful! They pulled out the drainage tube on Friday and she said that was not too bad.
___________________________________________________________________

Thankfully i did not have to work today, and the kids had no school, so i enjoyed sleeping in!
My wonderful neighbors invited us to a BBQ! Any time that i don't have to cook is a bonus!
There was alot of people there, alot of them left very drunk after playing 2 hands of this drinking game. You use a deck of cards and for each card you had to do something different. All i know is you don't want the 8's if you got that, you had to spin in a circle 8 times while drinking. Trust me...This is not easy for one...and someone is going to the ground! Jack's you were able to make a rule, Kings you poured some of your drink in a cup in the center of the table, If you pulled all four of the kings the last king has to drink the cup in the center and the game is done. 2's and 3's and 4's you had to take that many sips. one card you had to make a subject up (example: names of cars) everyone had to say a car name right away...any stubbling you had to drink. Another card you had to rhyme words, again if someone stubbles in the least they drank. So if you want to get drunk....This game will do that!
Another card was called the waterfall(example: everyone at the table had to drink till the person that pulled the card stopped drinking) Another card was the mini waterfall(the person that pulled the card and one other person of the choosing had to drink till the person quits)

I could get the actual cards and what goes on if someone is actually interested in this game.

Movies:

Only watched 2 movies last week
"Be Cool" ...This is the sequel to Get Shorty....It's always nice to see John Travolta perform. This movie was worth a hour and a half of my time. "The Rock" from wrestling had a part in this film that i found hilarious.

Then i watched a movie called "Submerged" with Steven Seagal in it...I can tell ya that this movie did not thrill me at all! Don't waste your money on this!

My birthday is coming June 8th and i will be 35! God i can remember when i was like 10 saying i don't want to live to be 30...it was way to old! Not only do i turn 35 on this day but my dad turns 58! Yep...i was my daddy's birthday present 35 years ago.... I bet back then he was asking for a refund..lol

My son will be 11 in August and Semptember my daughter will be 10! Time flies! I still can't get it over it! I was looking at baby pictures and videos a few days ago, you forget that they were like that once. I love talking about what my kids did when they were little. I know i used love when my mother told me all the cute things that i did when i was younger. Now we have video recorders and i can show my kids what they did at a certain age. Ahhhh Technology!

Mommy looks like a Mummy.

Mom had surgery today to remove the tumor on the jaw of her right side. The doctor called us all in to talk about the surgery one more time. Reminding us of all the dangers. We understood because mom had been studying all about it since she found out she had it.

I had to take her this morning at 9:30 and the surgery was scheduled for noon. But it looks like they had their crap together and she rolled into surgery at 11:15 instead. Frank and i left for a bit and got some lunch and returned by 12. At about 1:15 pm the doctor came in and said that everything went well but the tumor was bigger than he even thought it was and was totally wrapped around a major nerve. The good news is that he did no damage to the nerve, she is able to smile, wink, open her mouth.

I saw her up to her room and stayed a bit. Tried to talk to her but she was really out of it. She could barely open her eyes. I remember after my surgery with my heart that feeling of knowing someones in the room, but i could not open my eyes, so i just left.

She had alot of bandages wrapped around the one side of her head. It reminded me of a mummy. They had to cut like have her side of her face and pull it over to work on that tumor. Mom was hoping for a face lift..lol

They said as long as she does well tonight she will be able to come home tomorrow. :)...Welll take care all :)

Why?

I don't know if everyone reads my mom's blog http://mommasplaceathome.blogspot.com/
But Tuesday I was typing out my son's report on the computer and my mother was watching over my shoulder, all of a sudden a news break comes on and all we heard was "Employees at Detronics are being evacuated due to bomb threat." We both stopped and watched and we both said "DAD'S WORK!" I cannot believe that someone would do that! Good thing they took some shots with the men standing around and we saw my dad standing outside. We waited for a phone call from him to hear what had happened. To hours later he could not tell us much, but he could not leave because they were not releasing the men to their cars.
No one knows why the man did this. The wife says he was trying to make fireworks...that's a big nope..fireworks don't come with nails and stuff in them.
Well that was our excitement for the week.

Mom goes for the surgery to her face this coming Wednesday. I have to admit i am a bit worried. I hope no complications come with this surgery. And i hope no infections invade her body afterwards. She does not need anymore, or more hospital stay at that either.

Movies.

I watched "Are we there yet?" This is a good comedy. From 1 to 10 i give it a 7.

Found out that my son is going to have a graduation from 5th grade to 6th grade on June 16th...He will be in junior high next year. I'm so excited. He is slightly scared, but i don't foresee and problems. He got to go to a preview of the school so that kinda helped him with his worries of what to expect. I think that was a smart thing for the school to do that. I don't remember having that in transitions of school.

Is someone trying to tell me something..

Honestly in one day i got a phone call offering me a job out in Utica. I thought about calling it but its to far to drive and it turns out it was not from a friend of mine..but i don't understand why someone called me saying they were interested in meeting me for a job at their company. I've not been looking for a job at the moment. But anyways...while at work i was speaking to my co worker and another gentleman said that he was looking for secretary...I kinda blew it off...but i'm wondering if someone is trying to lay a hint on me..lol..

Well its official....the insurance company denied my surgery! Looks like it's better to keep me obese with all the health issues that go with it. Well let them pay for my next heart attack (if i survive it) and let them pay for all the labratory work that needs to be done with having diabetes and thyroid problems...And oh let them pay for the surgery that i may need for my foot that i suffer in pain with on a daily basis. I wish i could lose the weight myself...but my will power is gone...I have been up and down the scale so many times i can't count.

12 more days and mom goes into surgery on the tumor on her face..The closer it gets the more worried i am. I have confidence on the doctor...it's the same doctor that did my daughters tonsils. This surgery is more complex and from what mom tells me it could have many problems if they are not careful.

Movies

I watched "The Aviator" the other day and i found it very interesting....i really never knew much about Howard Hughes other than he was rich. Now i know that he was not wrapped to tight. He had many issues.
Tonight i watched "Son of the Mask"...this is a pretty entertaining movie. The kids really got a kick out of this movie. It's not the greatest..but it really beats "Life Aquatic" hands down...that movie sucked!!!!

It's not about mom..lol

I think i will start with some movies.
"National Treasure" is the best movie out there!!!!! Full of excitement and very educational.
"Racing Stripes" was not only good for kids but i know some adults that really got a kick out of this moive. The parts that really make the movie are the 2 flys, one has the voice of David Spade. Anyone that has kids will love this movie and also get a kick out of it.
"Assualt on Precinct 13" lets put this as a 5 on the entertainment meter.

My son went to the dentist last Monday and for some reason his cheek swelled enormously and to the point that his face bruised! I quickly took him back to the dentist and he said that he has never seen this in the 30 years he has been a dentist...he had a reaction...not exactly an allergic reaction but a reaction. Today he went to get some more done...thankfully he has not swelled up! My son said that all his teachers asked what happened to his face. I really think that they think that i beat my child.

My husband stupidly put his phone in his pants pocket and threw the pants near the hamper, so i picked them up and i washed them. Needless to say that it got washed and dryed and no longer works. So today i stopped by the local T Mobile and got an upgrade on my phone and hubby has gotten my old phone...lol...Hey...he's already gone thru 2 phones compared to my one...lol..

My mother and i went to the doctors today, Since mom will probably update you on her current condition i will just talk about my problems...lol

Well i went in just to get some routine tests for starters...but the night before i ended up chasing a shoplifter out of the store and ended up hurting my foot big time! So while i was there he took an x-ray of my foot because this was the second time i had done it. I am now the proud mom of 2 huge heal spurs! One on the back of the heal and one right in the middle of the bottom of my heal. They are both shaped like daggers and he said that when i run the pressure of the heal spurs are cutting the tissue in my foot, therefore the pain!! To top it off and i quote the doc "These are the biggest, beautiful, heal spurs i have ever seen!" This doctor has been seeing me since i was 16 and i am almost 35 years old now, and i am sure that he was in practice long before that! So for him to say that makes me believe that my heal spurs are really, really, bad!

Well on a lighter note....I finally got up the guts to ask about shrinking my stomach, he had brought it up a couple times because of my medical history. So today i asked about it. Right now it stands that i have to call my insurance and see if they will cover such a surgery. My doctor says that they might because of all my medical background. I talked to the nurse at the office that does the surgery and she says i certainly qualify. She had asked what problems i have had because of my weight and i just said "heart attack, high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid, back problems, foot problems, all this and only 35 years old(almost)".
I told my husband about the surgery and i asked him what he would do with a skinny wife....he answered the same thing i do with a large one..lol I'm not asking a whole lot...a size 18 would make my life grand! a 16 would make life perfect!

Well i will keep ya posted on this one....with my luck i am only wishful thinking... later

Mothers Day!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL THE MOMMY'S OUT THERE!!!!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO MY MOM!!!!!!!!

It's the hardest job a woman could have! Now that i am a mother i know that times are hard and tough! It's not easy to raise kids and try to instill values and morals without being a nagging mom. I try to let them learn from mistakes, but i also try to save them from making them. Kids can make you laugh and kids can make you cry. There are good times and there are bad times. As long as you can talk them out or work them out, there is nothing a family can't do.

Mom truly has been there for me, the good, the bad and the ugly part of my life. She has never judged me for anything in my past. '

I LOVE YA MOM!!! Your the best!
